App won’t start
Use the in-app startup recovery screen when present. Copy Diagnostics for support detail without secrets.
Gatekeeper
Only install notarized builds from official Crucible release channels. Unsigned or renamed artifacts are unsupported.
Sidecar / engine
The desktop build embeds Node and the sidecar. If the engine fails to start, retry from recovery, then restart the app.
System Git
Git workspaces need a supported system Git (2.39+). Local workspaces do not. Doctor’s git.runtime finding reports whether Git was found, the version, supported/unsupported, and a safe path summary. See Installing Git.
When Git is missing: Git create/open/clone and Git mutations stay disabled with an explanation. Use Check Again after installing. Crucible never installs Git for you and never converts a Git workspace to Local because Git disappeared.
