Getting Started

Install Crucible, launch the app, and create your first Local or Git workspace.

Install

Download the DMG for macOS Apple Silicon from the Download page. Open the disk image and drag Crucible.app into Applications.

Crucible 0.3.1 is signed and notarized. Gatekeeper should accept the app without developer tools workarounds. The desktop build embeds its runtime — no separate Node.js install.

First launch

  1. Open Crucible from Applications or Spotlight.
  2. Create a Local workspace (no Git required), create or clone a Git workspace (system Git 2.39+), or use Import into Crucible.
  3. Use Workspace Home Quick Request or open Collections to send.

No Cloud account is required for Local or Git. Cloud workspaces remain Planned.
